Third act: four months later a bolt of lightning splits his body from the top of the skull to the base of the spine; at the base of the spine he sees a pool of golden liquid light, knows it to be himself, fuses with it, and ascends the spine like spiral lightning into the skull, his head reverberating like thunder.
