Neville argued with his sister-in-law Al, a pillar of the Episcopal Church who believed immortality came only through children and grandchildren; he challenged her on the three foundations of Christianity and she would not argue back, and though she attended two of his lectures without understanding them, she is now 70 and has slowly changed her attitude toward immortality.
