Paul Thatcher Flood, 83, of 1349 Essex Road, Winter Park, died 'this week' per the obituary. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he had a colorful career: a bank job at the old Society for Savings Bank in Cleveland, a singing career with the Cleveland Opera Company and touring in 'The Merry Widow' and 'Rio Rita', WWI service overseas with the YMCA as a purchasing agent after the Army rejected him as underweight, singing for troops in France and across Europe after the Armistice, head singing teacher at the Tucker School of Dramatic Art, and associate teacher of Oscar Saenger.
