Lanyon, a former Carthage resident then living in California, presented the Carthage public library with six of his own religious books: 'Thrust in the Sickle' (written in London), 'The Laughter of God' (written at Shining Lakes, Germany), 'Without the Smell of Fire' (written at Miami, Florida), 'The Temple Not Made With Hands', 'A Lamp Unto My Feet', and 'Out of the Clouds'. The article notes he is a brother of the late Ed Lanyon, a Carthage real estate dealer.
