Miss May Lanyon died at her parents' home, 1125 South Main Street, Carthage, Missouri, following an operation for an internal abscess after about six weeks' illness. She was a stenographer for the Bradford Fruit Company and a member of the Eastern Star lodge. She was survived by her parents, two sisters (Mrs. C. A. Walker of Riverton, Kansas; Mrs. A. L. Lutz of St. Louis) and three brothers (E. O. Lanyon, Walter C. Lanyon and Bert W. Lanyon), all of Carthage. Funeral services were set for 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the home, conducted by Rev. Dr. W. G. Clinton of the First M. E. church, with burial in Park cemetery.
