The Carthage Evening Press reports that Walter C. Lanyon 'has just returned from a [?]-year trip around the world, having lectured in all the principal cities'. His addresses on the tour were given in French and English, on current books, modern art and metaphysics. The number of years did not survive the OCR of this clipping; the corpus places him in Shanghai during the same tour in 1926 (hist_event 20187, a travel letter printed by the same paper), which is consistent with a two-year trip ending in 1928 but does not establish one. That he lectured in French as well as English, and on modern art and current books alongside metaphysics, is the fullest account the corpus holds of what his platform work covered in this period.
