The Carthage Evening Press reports the cast selected for a restaging of 'Oh Millie, Wait a Minute', the home-talent musical comedy written by Walter Lanyon, who also directed it, at the York Rite temple (Seventh and Maple streets), October 10, 11 and 12. Mrs. Katie Johns Bryant starred as Millie (an adopted French orphan); David McPherson played Maw/Paw Perkins; Lanyon himself had a small part in the large cast, assisted by a beauty chorus. A companion clipping (node 4263) reports the third and final performance 'went off even better than on the initial night', crediting Lanyon as author and director, with all proceeds going to furnish the new Masonic club rooms -- a different sponsor and purpose from the corpus's already-documented 1921 'Oh, Milly' Good Fellows Christmas benefit (node 4259, hist_event 20148), so treated here as a separate, later restaging rather than the same occasion.
