lecture nid 1050 'The Power and the Wisdom' delivery date 1968-07-23, independently corroborated by a chrome dateline ('Neville Goddard 07-23-1968') and a dated lecture advertisement (media:170); two other catalog claims (1958-11-03, 1968-10-15) are uncorroborated and contradicted by this lecture's own Vietnam-war content per its processing notes.
Neville recalls a stay of several months in Barbados the year before this lecture, during which his brother Victor -- who had made a considerable fortune -- spoke admiringly of five multi-millionaires he knew for how hard they worked and how much they had accumulated. Neville challenges him on what real power is, using the exchange to argue that admiring outward wealth mistakes the reflection for the source: true power lies within, in consciousness and imagination, not in fortune.
