A man in the audience, who along with his wife had attended a lecture about three months earlier, wrote Neville a letter that arrived the very morning of this lecture: he had worked hard for a promised job and its bonuses, but when Christmas bonuses were handed out, a coworker who was rarely on the job -- reputedly one of the boss's girlfriends -- received the large bonus while he, who had done all the work, got almost nothing. Neville reads the letter as the kind of story he wants more of, repeating his standing request that people in the audience share their outcomes with him.
