About two years before this lecture, during one of his regular annual visits to New York City, Neville called on a friend he had not seen in a while, only to be told by the receptionist that the man now went by 'Doctor' -- having earned a minor, non-medical degree -- and was busy giving one of a line of 'treatments' to waiting clients. Neville waited his turn, using the story to introduce his own instruction: quietly imagine the outcome you desire, say 'Amen' to it, and then let it go without checking whether it worked.
