Neville recalls a supernatural experience of walking on water at a large party held in the summer of 1948 by a prominent New York judge at his home in East Hampton, Long Island (where Bacardi rum was being introduced at the buffet). Neville stayed on afterward as a household guest at a friend's East Hampton home for five days.
