A woman in Neville's audience that night -- unexpected by him, since she was minding her grandchildren while her daughter and son-in-law were on vacation -- had sent him a letter by special delivery that same morning at eight o'clock. In it she described a dream of being married, in a vast forest, to a devoted but exacting 'terrifying pruner' of trees; after seventeen years of that loving, remorseless care, he told her his work was finished and embraced her with a heavenly love beyond words.
