Neville explains that his own mystical fulfillment -- arriving three and a half years after his 'birth from above' -- came to completion on 1 January 1963. He says he then waited until the Friday night before this lecture, when a publisher friend (unnamed in the lecture) told him of a vision of her own that corroborated his experience. He notes she could have told him two weeks earlier, but, like the women who found the empty tomb in scripture, was too afraid to speak of it sooner.
