Neville reads aloud a letter he received from a correspondent describing what happened to her on the night of October 18th, after she heard him lecture on the new man and the breaking down of the wall of partition between two, making them one. She writes that the idea stirred something in her, and that afterward, in communion with God, she asked why some desires are fulfilled quickly, others slowly, and others never -- and records God's answer that the difference lies entirely in the state she was in when she desired versus the state she is in now.
