A woman wrote Neville that after two eye doctors independently diagnosed cataracts in both eyes, she began applying his teaching, imagining herself reading an eye chart perfectly and hearing a voice tell her "your eyes are fine." Over the following months she passed a driver's-license vision test and, still unsatisfied with residual fuzziness, kept revising the image until a third oculist — without prompting — found no cataracts and no astigmatism at all, contradicting both earlier diagnoses and her own eyeglass prescription.
