Over the summer of 1967 Neville received three letters he reads to his congregation as testimonies to imagining creating reality: one about a bank loan, one recounting a woman's marriage prospects (with an addendum from her husband), and a fuller one from his friend Bennie. Bennie described being lifted by unseen hands while lying face-down on his bed and hearing the words "Take a stand!", urging him to fully commit to the belief; days later, in meditation, he felt held up by three men, watched a sunrise, and heard "Look! Behold! Recognition!" — after which he prayed for a friend seeking a promotion to property manager, who was given the job with a raise months later exactly as Bennie had imagined it for him.
