Riding in an old truck with her husband and in-laws over rugged mountain roads after a night spent on a mountaintop, she arrived, exhausted, at a lush green valley with a crystal-clear river, a home, barns, and shepherds tending white sheep and geese. Turning to her father-in-law, she watched him grow suddenly tall and young, his face one she felt she had seen somewhere in a distant eternity, and she woke as she dissolved into his growing brilliance. Neville reads her role in the dream as a retelling of Tamar's story from the 38th chapter of Genesis.
