Neville describes the mystical unfolding he calls the 'history of salvation' as coming in four acts: first the birth from above, then the discovery that one is spiritually the father of David who calls him Father, then the reversal of the body's generative energy into regenerative energy -- rising like a serpent from the base of the spine -- and finally the descent of the dove. He teaches that, just as Christ's ministry lasted three and a half years, these four acts unfold and complete within that same span once they take possession of a person, though the person remains afterward to tell the story to those drawn to it.
