Neville recounts a New York Times Magazine article (Sunday, October 26, 1969) written by George Mylonos, a Greek man held under house arrest by the military government for 409 days after being imprisoned on the island of Amorgos. Mylonos used his imagination to rehearse his escape as a daydream before eventually carrying it out in fact. Neville read the account about two weeks before this lecture and uses it as a real-world case of an imaginal act preceding and producing the physical event.
