Neville reads a letter he received two or three weeks before this lecture from a prisoner named 'Bob' held at Folsom State Prison. Bob wrote that he had heard Neville on his Sunday-afternoon TV broadcasts, practiced the technique, and found that it worked; he also asked Neville what he could say about death from his own experience, since the prisoners were curious about the subject. Neville says he wrote back to Bob just before coming to give this lecture.
