Neville recalls an experience at sea in 1946 in which he found himself suddenly risen from within, hailed by a chorus singing 'Neville is risen' and clothed in a glorious, luminous body. As he glided past thousands who were blind, lame, withered and shrunken, every one was made perfect in his presence -- missing eyes and hands restored out of nowhere -- though he says he made no effort and felt no compassion in doing it; their wholeness followed simply from his own perfected state.
