Neville recalls that many years earlier, his father and brother Victor were shown a 35-acre spot overlooking the water in Barbados by three sisters who lived there and sold cattle to his father; his father remarked at the time that it would make an ideal site for a hotel. Years later, when the sisters decided to sell, his father -- who had been imagining owning the land -- bought it just before a wealthier rival buyer, away in Brazil that day, could act, and a popular hotel now stands on the spot.
