Neville recalls that in 1952, while recuperating in the hospital from a serious operation, his friend and physician Randy came to visit him. Noticing the Bible Neville had brought along, Randy -- who knew nothing of his teaching and considered weekly church attendance the whole of religion -- questioned his interest in it, prompting Neville to explain the story of Esau and Jacob as a picture of clothing an inner, desired state in the appearance of outer reality until it becomes fact.
