Neville recounts an earlier vision in New York City in which he made the sea stand still: by arresting an activity within his own head, he stopped the sea's motion (and, in the same telling, other moving things -- beasts, birds, even dinosaurs), then released it to let everything move on again. He places this vision several years before his well-known 20 July 1959 experience of being 'born from above,' which he also refers to in the same breath.
