Psalm 37:3-4, in about three lectures (1127, 1221, 1773), and Neville treats it as a two-part instruction with a division of labour. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart; commit your way to the Lord, trust in him, and he will act. The whole reading turns on the identification he makes immediately: the word Lord is Yod He Vau He, which defined is I AM, so delighting in the Lord is delighting in one's own I-am-ness and committing one's way to him is committing it there. What makes it a formula rather than a proof text is the last clause, which he quotes every time and reads as a promise of agency: he will act. Man's part is to construct - he creates the scene which would imply the fulfilment of his dream - and then it stops, because your own wonderful I-am-ness goes into action after you prepare the scene for him to execute in this world. At 1221 the same verse is used to answer how one does it: it's a gift if you delight in the Lord. At 1127 it is the text the whole army-discharge story is offered as evidence for - he applied it that night and it acted that night.
