Ask no man to help you, but let the prayer of the 17th chapter of the Gospel of St. John be your prayer.

All of us must learn to ride the animal straight in to Jerusalem unassisted by a man. You do not need another to help you.

And they imply in every story that we do not need the assistance of another.
