The boldest assumption: to dare to assume 'I am Christ Jesus' (in 1948 also 'I am God'), deny the limitations of birth and family tree, and sustain it until it becomes the habitual centre of one's energy; then one does the works (opening blind eyes, beauty for ashes) that prove it, as he proved he was Christ by his works (John 10:37). The referent Christ belongs to the lexicon; this motif is the practice.
