Psychological interpretation
A dimension is any way of measuring a thing entirely different from the others, and time is a fourth way; each added dimension makes a thing more substantial, and time adds changeability. As a point is a cross section of a line, a line of a surface and a surface of a solid, so every three-dimensional object, and every person one meets, is a cross section of a four-dimensional body. This solid world is a shadow abstracted from a dimensionally larger world, itself abstracted from a larger one, to infinity: space and time are serial (after Dunne's Serial Universe), and one can awaken into the larger world by concentrating on an invisible state.
