Luke 15:11-32. In 1948 the answer to 'must we not earn what we desire?': in spite of his waste, when man comes to his senses and remembers who he is, he feeds on the fatted calf of abundance and wears the robe and ring of authority. There is nothing to earn: creation is finished and it is the Father's good pleasure to give the kingdom.
