What one is now does not slip away into the past but advances to meet one as the future. Every great out-picturing is preceded by a profound absorption, and when that absorption is filled with the highest ideal one sees it manifest; so the future is changed by making the future dream a present fact in the mind. Later lectures use it for revision: the unrevised day advances to confront us.
