Blake's Emanation: what proceeds from one is one's emanation. Eve, taken from sleeping Adam, is his own emanation, now called nature, which must fashion life about him as he fashions it within. In later lectures man himself is God's emanation, 'yet his wife till the sleep of death is past' (Blake), the Maker being the husband (Isaiah 54:5) who cleaves to her until the two are one.
