The womb in which God's child is conceived and carried is the mind (in later lectures the skull) of man. A desire conceived there unaided by another is carried faithfully to birth, and the senses, pressing their suggestions, impregnate that same womb with what they dictate. Out of it, not out of the womb of a woman, comes the birth from above.
