The 1057 telling of the vision Neville printed as The Search. Retiring early on a little freighter in the Caribbean, he found himself outside his body, which remained on the bed, in a lovely twilight that he himself radiated, for there was no sun or moon; he floated rather than walked. A heavenly chorus sang 'He is risen!' and he knew they meant him - elsewhere he says the chorus did not say 'he' but 'Neville', and that a letter which used 'he' got the pronoun wrong. He found himself beside a vast sea of sick and malformed beings who were waiting for him, and as he passed, each was refolded and refashioned into the image of perfection - missing eyes and limbs reappeared - because it was so that he beheld them. Then voices said 'It is finished!' and he crystallised again into this opacity called Neville, feeling he had fought Death and been victorious. He insists it is not a unique experience: on a certain level every being is perfect, and one rises to that level by lifting another up within oneself. Made a child of M191 the-search-vision on 2026-09-20: the attacher established from the corpus (PM 5921) that the two motifs are one vision, told in about thirty-eight lectures, and that M191's own wordings already contain the sea of the impotent folk, the chorus and 'It is finished'. Kept as a child rather than merged, because merging two established motifs was not the reader's call to make.
