How the birth begins in the body. A terrific vibration starts within the skull, at its base, and increases; but instead of being catapulted into space the man is squeezed out of his body inch by inch, head first onto the floor, and literally pulls himself out through his own skull. He rests a few moments and looks back at the bed, where the body lies moving its head from side to side like someone in a recovery room coming out of an anaesthetic. He did not know, while it was happening, that a child was being born.
