The hardest form of the states doctrine, pressed against the worst names available: you have never been tarnished. Hitler, you say? Stalin? The states were horrible, but the individual has never been touched. When a man awakens he no longer sees the state at all, only the individual who has fallen into it, and then he meets no one he could not embrace and pull out. Whoever you are and whatever you have done you are still God and still unblemished; even the man who cannot hear this teaching is only in a state at present. Therefore disaster beyond redemption is impossible.
