What resurrection does and does not change. Identity is not touched - 'I have not changed my identity' - and hands, feet and legs remain; but the form undergoes a radical discontinuity. The illustration is the caterpillar: look for the large consuming bowel on the leaf in the cabbage patch and you see it, but you cannot see the butterfly in it, and from the seemingly dead chrysalis something altogether different comes out that could not have been predicted from the eating. So with man: the consuming part is transformed into a power beyond the wildest dream, which creates without needing anything from outside and is life in itself, requiring no food and no substance from without. He says plainly that he cannot describe what it becomes.
