The Blake passage Neville quotes more often than any other, and the one he says Blake never wavered from across the whole body of his work: Man is all Imagination; God is Man and exists in us and we in him; the Eternal Body of Man is The Imagination, that is, God himself, The Divine Body, Jesus: we are his Members. Neville insists that Blake meant every word of it, and draws the consequence that matters to him - if we are members of one body and there is only one name, then we are he, and we are not aspects of God's mind in the way the personified states are. Set beside it is Blake's flat answer on the identity: God is Jesus, not one of many gods but the only God. RULED 2026-09-20 (PM 6056). This description formerly carried a note saying the motif might belong in the lexicon rather than the catalogue, and asking a curator to move it if the boundary ruling went that way. The ruling came and went the other way: the lexicon holds only bare identity equations that function as a dictionary gloss, while a reading of a specific verse and a teaching claim Neville argues or applies are motifs. This motif is correctly in the catalogue and should not be moved. The note is recorded rather than silently deleted so that anyone who saw the earlier version knows what became of it.
