Galatians 4:4-6 read as a pregnancy with a term that cannot be hurried or missed. When the fullness of time had come God sent forth his Son into my heart crying Father - and Neville glosses the phrase as the end of a gestation: when the nine-month pregnancy is over, and nine months could be nine ages. The consequence he wants is that the timing is not the practitioner's business: at what moment after the nailing of the cross within you he impregnated you with himself, I do not know - but at that fullness of time no one can stop it. When the Son comes and calls a man Father, God's work in him is complete. It is paired throughout with Habakkuk's appointed hour (M560): every vision has its own appointed hour, it ripens and it will flower, and if it seem long, wait, for it is sure and will not be late. At 1107 he applies the reading to himself and will not settle it - was the night infinite love embraced him, when he answered that the greatest thing in the world was love and became one with the body of the questioner, the moment of impregnation? I don't know; I cannot speak with authority - which is as close as he comes anywhere to saying he does not know his own chronology. NOTE FOR THE ATTACH LANES: the bare phrase 'the fullness of time' occurs in more than eighty lectures. That is far more than this motif. Attach only where the gestation reading or the Son crying Father is present; the phrase alone is not evidence.
