In his conversation with the woman of Samaria Jesus again revealed his psychic powers, for he told the woman her exact condition. So impressed was she with this power that she asked her friends to come and see a man who had told her all about herself.n6602 ¶1
Notice that Jesus did not condemn the woman. He taught her; he told her that God is Universal Spirit, an ever-present reality and the eternal urge in all life.n6602 ¶2
. To Jesus this Spirit was an indwelling, as well as an overdwelling Presence, a conscious Intelligence to which one may come for help and guidance.n6602 ¶3
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do:n6602 ¶4
For what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.n6602 ¶5
For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth:n6602 ¶6
And he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.n6602 ¶7
For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them, even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.n6602 ¶8
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me,n6602 ¶9
Hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation ; but is passed from death unto life.n6602 ¶10
For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;n6602 ¶11
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just;n6602 ¶12
Because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.n6602 ¶13
