Now the word translated God in scripture is a compound unity, one made up of others. There is a fixed number to the sons of God, a fixed number, and that unity knows each by name. I am telling you that you really are now, as told you in the first epistle of John, the son of God. You may not believe me, but “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, and we shall see him as he is.” So you look into the mirror and you see your face, and you know with anyone in this world there’s always room for improvement. No matter how handsome, how beautiful they may be to others or maybe even to themselves, if they are honest they know there is really room for improvement; therefore, they’re not perfect in their own eyes. But we are told, “You must be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect” …and Christ is called the Father, and Christ is the Rock.515 ¶3
