I know from my own experience that it is true. Standing before you this night—most of you here know it from my own confession—everything recorded in scripture in the New Testament from the birth of Jesus Christ to his resurrection I have experienced. His ascension I have experienced. If the whole vast world of three-and-a-half billion rose in opposition, it would make no difference to me, for I know what I have experienced.281 ¶20
