Now, some will take this challenge. One lady wrote me, she made a nice design, made a circle, and wrote on the outside of the outer circle “Imagination is the true man.” Then the other, ‘Man is God.’ In a faint red [...] is “I am.” Then she drew another circle, and then a still smaller circle. And that inner circle she divided into six parts of sixty degrees to the section, making 360 degrees for the circle. But at the very center she said, “The Father within us, he does the works.” And then in each section she’s written, as she conceives it, six virtues: “Faith to do nothing,” “Persistence to do nothing”…and she mentions these wonderful six virtues, where if she had the courage to do nothing. “If the Father within me is doing the work, then let me have the faith to do nothing.” And so, he’s bringing forth a witness to his Word. But in the meanwhile, I will assume that I am that which I want to be, and let the Father within me do that while he’s working in the depths of my soul, producing a witness to the truth of his Word.338 ¶35
