Then he makes the statement in the same first chapter, “For I would have you know, brethren, that I did not receive this from man, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ”. He doesn’t deny that he heard the story from others, as you have heard it, as I have heard it. My mother taught me the story and she told it to me as secular history. She died believing that it took place in one little individual 2,000 years ago. That’s how she taught it to me, that’s how she was taught it by her mother, and throughout the ages men have been taught it in that manner. So, she heard it from others.748 ¶3
