Now, in the audience that night sat this mother and this daughter, and, naturally, all the others who were present. I said, “If what I say any night is true, signs must follow to support the truth of what I’ve said.” So that night, on the way home, the mother said to the daughter, “How did you like it?” She said, “I liked it very much…not only that, what’s more I believe it.” Alright, so she believed me. That night she had a dream and she dreamt she saw a little serpent, a live, live serpent, and she picked it up and put it in her purse. That was the dream; this followed her visit here. Now a serpent has always been, as other symbols of the world, the symbol of Christ. She saw a living Christ, symbolized in a universal language as a serpent. She did what here on this level she never would have done. I doubt that anyone here, male or female, seeing a serpent would pick it up alive and put it in a purse or a pocket, but that’s what she did, put it in her purse. Well, a purse is where you carry valuable things. So she valued what she just heard. Now the Bible has only one source of dream: all dreams, all visions proceed from God, as told us in the 12th chapter of the Book of Numbers . So, all dreams proceed from God and God speaks to man through the language of dream. So there she saw the symbol of Christ. She accepted it; she believed what she heard here from this platform, that Imagination creates reality. For, the Bible claims that “Jesus Christ is the creative power of God…and by him all things were made, and without him was not anything made that was made.” So here, she found it, and she identified her own Imagination with Christ. A symbol had to follow, and there she saw the symbol, the symbol of the serpent. She so valued what she found and believed in she put it in her purse. Then she woke.761 ¶5
