And while he was here, 1,500 miles away, this imaginal act was taking the old gentleman and making him do something that would outrage the entire neighborhood. The old gentleman and his daughter would be totally unaware that an unseen imaginal act was cause of his behavior. Because they would say, “What on earth is he doing?” Or, “what, in a household of that sort, with a daughter who is so gracious and so noble, and to have a father like that, how could he possibly do it?” We would judge him harshly. The real culprit, if there’s a culprit, was hidden 1,500 miles away. And he did it through love. He so loved his mother he wanted his mother free and be separated without killing the grandfather.781 ¶43
