Well, people will say, “But I love Christ!” Well, they have an icon they call Christ; they have some little idol that they call Christ. That’s not Christ! Christ is the plan of God, the plan that was in the beginning: “Let us make man in our image”. Well, he is called the image of God: “He reflects the glory of God and bears the express image of his person”. That’s Christ. Well, can I find that image in scripture? Search it…search it and see if you can find in the search from these paragraphs such an image. And you’ll find it. I have told it to you in the most simple manner I am capable of telling. I have told it in a more chronological manner than recorded in the Bible, because they were given these paragraphs and they did not know which came first. They wrote a beautiful story…they all disagree. We speak of the synoptics because they do have something in common, but, oh, what a difference in the very genealogy between Matthew and Luke!
