This is prompted not only by her four stories but by an article that my friend (who is here tonight) sent me last Tuesday. It’s in the current issue of Harper’s Bazaar and is about dreams. This practicing psychiatrist has been one for twenty years, but he wouldn’t give the Bible credit for anything. He quotes J. W. Dunne, Freud, Jung, Adler, and all the so-called authorities on dream, and only vaguely mentions in the very end this trinity in man, which he calls the self, the rational mind or ego, and then what he speaks of as the Holy Spirit as a reflection of the great trinity.812 ¶47
