And so it’s not through diet, it’s not through being good, it is not from being rich or being socially prominent — all the nonsense of the world. I have a friend of mine back east, and she comes out of the so-called family of the Adamses, who was our president — his kind of president. And so her son is named Adam. But the word Adam, to me, is foreign. Well, his name isn’t Adam, his name is Adams — his forefather is a president of our country, and so he’s named after his forefather. All right, I thanked her — her name’s Ruth, by the way — so I thanked her for it. But of course, again I called him Adam; again she corrected me: “His name is not Adam, Neville — the name is Adams.” And she’s so proud of that ancestry.1085 ¶28
