I had a friend of mine, and he always used to say — well, I would remind you of a sign, and say — no, so-and-so, he said, he didn’t say it positively. Okay, and so he went through life that way. Didn’t I say — the sign said “only those who are boarding the plane can go down,” not passengers — didn’t say it positively. He flew with me — I’m flying out of New York City, and here he came out, bringing a friend with him too. I said, “No smoking” — it said “no smoking” — didn’t say it positively — and he comes aboard smoking a cigarette, and bringing a friend aboard the plane to see me off — not once, several times, but that was his favorite remark: it didn’t say it positively.1090 ¶38
