Neville's awakening: God found him ripe and woke him, and he awoke sealed in a tomb which was his own skull, whereupon God rolled away the stone and he came out; he found he had been asleep and in fact dead through the ages, saw everything objectively while himself unseen, and afterwards reflected on his body, shaving and bathing and his wife's suggestions, as no longer what he had thought it.
